Cesar Ramos hits win number 3 at Vallelunga

The Vallelunga racetrack, hosting the 6th round of the 2010 season, handed BVM Target a new win thanks to talented Brazilian Cesar Ramos. After leaving the Rome-bound racetrack, he extended his championship lead to 14 points, for a grand total of 130. On Saturday, Ramos also scored his maiden pole of 2010, matching the three wins of the season.

The team owned by Roberto Venieri and Giuseppe Mazzotti tried different set-up solutions in Practice, and the job proved key in qualifying and in the first race for Ramos. As he clocked the fastest lap too, Ramos also scored an additional point and recorded an hat-trick. On Race 2, the Brazilian ended up in 7th after having started in 8th, and once again went fastest of the day.

BVM/Target not only dominated the weekend with Ramos, but also brought two more cars on-track for Barret Mertins and Edolo Ghirelli. If the Italian racer was at his F.3 debut, the American moved over from a Mygale chassis. The two has respectively ended up in 14th and 12th place as their best result. The next round for the Italian F.3 Championship will be at Mugello, on October 10.
