Black Bull lined-up for their third round of the season at Misano. After the International GT Open Winter Series and the Coppa Italia, the Adriatic team entered one car in the opening round of the Italian GT Championship. Lining-up at the seaside venue Venturi, together with Maino, took his Ferrari 458 to another pole position as he prevailed in qualifying for Race 2. It was the team’s third straight pole of 2013. Maino managed a great 4th place in qualifying, good for a second-row start in Race 1. Unfortunately, a contact with Sonvico’s Porsche forced Maino, who was set to fight for a top-flight result, to retire after just 10 laps. In Race 2, Venturi was off to a tough start and lost two spots. The Reggio Emilia-based racer promptly recovered with a move on Dindo Capello and his Audi. At the end of the first stint, he handed the car over to Maino, who found himself into the lead. At the end of the 21st lap, and at the end of a top-flight battle with Mapelli, had to surrender the position and Lancieri also took advantage of it. Maino then lost the last available podium position on the closing lap but scored a very positive 4th place.
