The second round of the 2012 World Series by Renault 3.5 hasn't been an easy one for BVM Target. After the valuable points scored at Alcaniz with both Nikolay Martsenko and Giovanni Venturini, the two drivers made their debut between the streets of Monte Carlo and faced some though times. In Qualifying, both the Russian and the Italian were lined-up in the A group. Nicolay ended up the session with a crash and had to settle for a last-row start. Venturini ended up with a position in Row 11th.
In the end, only Martsenko saw the checkered flag, as he went 2 laps down following to a late flat tire that sent him spinning and forced him to come back to the pits. In the meantime, Venturini had managed to come back to the 17th position when an electronic problem caused him to stop and retire with 10 laps to go. There's no time for regrets now. Both drivers have gained some really valuable experience, and the team will be back next weekend at the famed Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
