BVM Target officially kickstarted its 2012 season last week at the Paul Ricard circuit, just 30 kilometers away from Marseille. The two-day session, held between March 13 and 13 was vital to all teams as the new Dallara racecars of the series were finally made available for testing and development, alongside the new Zytek engine, the DRS System and the new pneumatic-actuated gearbox.

The Italian squad, directed by Roberto Venieri, suffered from several mechanical issues with both drivers Nikolay Martsenko and Giovanni Venturini. The problems were in big part related to the youth of the new package. The BVM Target technicians worked hard on set-ups without a specific performance focus. Martsenko and Venturini, both at their debut in the championship, collected a positive feedback and are really looking forward to the test scheduled for April the 3rd and 4th at Montmelò.
