In one of the most exciting season finales in the history of the Italian Formula 3 Championship, BVM Target is achieving outstanding success. At Vallelunga, in the penultimate round of the series, the team owned by the Mazzotti-Venieri duo monopolized qualifying by sweeping the front row. As Zampieri took a stunning pole, Zipoli followed just 6 hundreds of a second back, while Niccolò Piancastelli ended up in 17th.

At the start of Race 1, Zampieri had a slight hesitation, allowing Sergio Campana to move through. While the driver from Rome kept second place all-day long, Zipoli won a great battle with Pablo Sanchez to third place, and Piancastelli ended up in 14th. On Race 2, Zampieri took advantage of his wet driving skills to end up in third. Zipoli took some valuable points in 6th, while Piancastelli followed in his learning path in 12th.

With just one race to go between the end of the 2009 season, Zampieri counts on a 14-point advantage over his main rival, Daniel Campos (standing with 138 points), who moved on now third-placed Zipoli.
