Target scores podium finishes at Imola in the Italian GT Sprint Championship

Target Racing has had a very positive start to the season in the Italian GT Sprint Championship season-opener, held at Imola. The team collected podium finishes in both the GT3 and GT Cup categories.

Huilin Han, driving the Ferrari 296 GT3, twice finished third in the AM class in the two scheduled races. This was a significant result for Han, who excelled in both races. In the GT Cup, Gregor Jeets, driving the McLaren Artura Trophy Evo, after setting the fastest time in Qualifying 1 in the Pro Am Division 2 class, pulled off a convincing performance in the first race, finishing third in his class. In the second race, Jeets finished sixth.

It was a great weekend for Pierluigi Alessandri at the wheel of the Ferrari 296 Challenge. The driver from Romagna finished 18th overall out of 45 participants in Race 1 (sixth in the Pro Am 1st Division class), and in Race 2 he made a remarkable comeback that allowed him to cross the finish line in 11th overall, finishing fourth in his class.

The next round of the Italian Gran Turismo Sprint Championship is scheduled on the weekend of May 24th at Vallelunga.
