Target Racing experienced a highly successful weekend at the Nurburgring, home to the fifth round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe, achieving its best results of the year at an overall and class level. The Pro combination of young drivers Glenn van Berlo and Raul Guzman confirmed their great speed potential right from qualifying, as they secured front-row starts for both race 1 and 2. The Dutchman took the start of the first race on Saturday and then handed the controls of the Huracán racecar to his teammate, who crossed the line in the second position at the end of a steady run. For the van Berlo / Guzman duo it was the fifth podium of 2021, but the first P2 finish after several third places.
In race 2, unfortunately, the chances of repeating the same results vanished on the second lap: Guzman had a good start but was put out of contention by the puncture in the right rear tire, caused by debris. Guzman and van Berlo are now fourth in the championship with 75 points. The Italian squad dominated the scene in the Pro-Am class, with Andrea Cola and Dmitry Gvazava delivering a double victory adding up to the win in race 1 at Monza in the 2021 season opener. Cola and Gvazava ended two races at the Nurburgring with a seventh and an eighth place overall.
Further satisfactions came from the Am class. Target Racing competed for the first time this year in the class with Miguel Ramos and Adrian Amstutz, who won in race 1 and finished second in race 2. The Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europa will run for the final time in 2021 at Misano on the 28-29 October weekend. The venue will also host the prestigious World Finals
