Nikolay Martsenko drove an aggressive race last Sunday, in the closing run of the World Series Renault 3.5 weekend at Silverstone. The race, held right before the start of the famous 1000-Kilometer Endurance, proved positive for him. After having clocked the 14th fastest laptime of Qualifying 2, held on Saturday afternoon, he faced a troubled start before pulling an outstanding recovery. The Russian-based BVM Target man didn't back down and battled his way up with some great moves, including a spectacular one on Foresti, en-route to a 12th-place finish, not too far away to the points zone. After a tough qualifying session where he had ended up in 26th, Daniel Zampieri also made some early progress before being stopped by a mechanical issue on lap 8. BVM Target is now ready to be back on-track in mid September at the Hungaroring, close to Budapest.
