The BVM Target team cruised to another positive result at the fascinating and exciting Spa-Francorchamps circuit. The Ravenna-based squad brought both their cars into the top-10 in the World Series Renault's Belgian round. The race has been extremely tough due to the rain that fell hard since the early morning, when qualifying 2 went underway, and to an interruption. The red flags came out in order to provide assistance to Richie Stanaway, who was involved in a bad crash: the New-Zealander was diagnosed with some fractured vertebrae and BVM Target wish him a speedy recovery.
Nikolay Martsenko, who had ended up qualifying in 20th, and Venturini, who started from 24th, run close together for the whole distance. Although they were really careful in order not to commit mistakes in such difficult conditions, the BMW Target racers were fast and consistent all-day long and put together a strong recovery drive that brought both of them into the top-9. Martsenko finished in 8th place, while Venturini took 10th. The Russian rounded out a positive weekend with two valuable points finishes like he did in Alcaniz, when he took 4th on Race 1. Venturini, who took 9th in Spain, was also able to be back in full shape. BVM Target can definitely say to have cancelled the tough fortunes suffered in Monte Carlo.
