In the final F3 Recaro Cup race of the season, Target Racing changed again the drivers lineup: with Johnny Cecotto unavailable for the weekend, Venieri's squad gave a last-minute call to Marcello Thomaz. The brazilian, who haven't tested the SLC-R1 006 Opel before, needed some time to approach to the car, but he and Azzoli were fast enough in both races. The main problem for both was represented by the hot weather, that reduced technical performances. In race one, the cars came respectively 9^th and 10^th, close to points. In race two the duo was a bit slower, with Thomaz 12^th and Azzoli 13^th .
