Target SLC was able again to field the two cars in the penultimate Recaro Cup race held on the Salzburgring. Roberto Venieri's team welcomed back Riccardo Azzoli, and confirmed Johnny Cecotto Jr. The new duo immediately produced good results: Azzoli was 8th in the first qualification session, just in front of Cecotto, 10th.
The race was even more rewarding: Azzoli and Cecotto closed respectively in 4th and 5th position, for the joy of the boss and the whole team. In the second qualifications, Azzoli improved until 7th and Cecotto confirmed his rank, before a violent accident in Race 2 on lap 1. The venezuelan escaped uninjured, while Azzoli finished 9th, just outside the points.
