BVM-Target has won the 2010 Italian Formula 3 Championship. Cesar Ramos clinched title honours at the last available round by beating Stephane Richelmi and Andrea Caldarelli, as he also snatched a stunning win at Monza. In Qualifying, Ramos cruised to a sensational pole position with a best laptime of 1:46.066, with a 0.4s advantage on the second-placed driver and an 1s advantage over the third. His proof of skills was put in jeopardy at the start of Race 1 though, as he was rear-ended by Richelmi and the two made contact again at Curvone.
Ramos made it back to the pits for a quick check, but he didn't surrender. Thanks to the safety-car being out, he caught the pack again with an huge comeback effort. Unfortunately though, the recovery attempt proved too hard on the car, and Cesar suffered a suspension failure, settling for 8th. On Race 2, Ramos won like champions do, recovering from row 4. As he started there due to the reverse top-8 format from qualifying, he passed both rivals Caldarelli and Richelmi to clinch victory.
In a great season ending, BVM-Target and Ramos added a third win to the 2010 toll. Alongside them, Ramos scored 8th podium finishes, two pole positions and seven fastest laps. In addition to the title, clinched with 161 points, the team owned by Giuseppe Mazzotti and Roberto Venieri lined-up two more drivers. Ramos also was paired by the confirmed Barret Mertins, and by returning Canadian Tyler Dueck, who entered the first 2010 races and some collective tests. The American scored 12th place as his personal best result, while Dueck ended up race 2 in 16th, confirming his 22nd place in standings thanks to the point scored at Hockenheim.
