The driver from Rome started dominating since Race 1 at Adria, and as victory have finally come, the team and driver can celebrate an outstanding season. Zampieri held the lead during the last 5 months, providing a stunning race-by-race performance and impressing the squad, owned by Roberto Venieri and Giuseppe Mazzotti, with apparent ease. A strong technical guidance has also been part of the game, as an huge testing played a key role in developing the Champion's Fiat-powered Dallara through the whole season.
Zampieri had the chance to clinch the title with one race still left, but a small mistake on the last lap of Race 1 left him with a single point to score in the grand finale. On Race 2, he showcased huge skills and tactics by contenting himself with 4th. For BVM Target though, the title fight ended early, as team-mate Marco Zipoli was the only man on-track able to contend the Championship to Zampieri. Zipoli ended up in second, providing the team with an incredible 1-2 finish. As an additional note, both Zampieri and Zipoli will be entering the Ferrari Formula One test as a reward for the top-3 drivers. BVM Target is at its second win in the series, after taking honors in 2002 with Milos Pavlovic.
