Malta Formula Racing is proud to announce the team's first driver for the Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth, Raul Guzman Marchina. The 15-year-old Mexican racer, making his debut in auto racing, was spotted by Danilo Rossi, who leads the team together with Marco Ubaldi and with the technical supervision of Roberto Venieri.

Rossi, a former karting world champion, noticed Marchina during the SKUSA Supernationals in Las Vegas and invited him over for a test on the Tatuus F.4 car. The youngster performed without a hitch and felt comfortable right from the start.

After winning the Mexican title in the Rotax Minimax class and in 2012, and last year's Texas Prokart Challenge, he's now ready to go after the ACI/CSAI-promoted series.

Last weekend, Guzman Marchina completed one additional test at Vallelunga and he kept impressing by scoring the second fastest laptime on Saturday morning. He will be back running at the Roman venue for Round 1 of 2015 on the first weekend of May.

The F.4 Italia series will present seven rounds, including round two in late May at Monza. Then, the teams will move to Franciacorta (June 14), Mugello (July 7), Adria (September 6), Imola (September 20) and Misano (October 4).

The names of the other Malta Formula Racing drivers will be announced shortly.
