The final round of the Formula 4 Italian Championship will stay steeped in the history of Target Racing. Mattia Drudi, driving for the F&M team which is supported by Target, put up an utterly dominant performance to dominate the whole weekend. The Misano-born youngster started off by cruising to the pole in the first qualifying session (and to a front-row start u the second), before continuing with three wins. His superiority was almost uncontested and made Drudi jump up to the fourth place in standings, with the championship already won by Lance Stroll.
Drudi clearly deserved the wins and fought hard for them considering the strong opposition he had. Especially in race 1, when he ended up just half a second in front of Andrea Russo, who was then penalized, and in race 2 (0.7s on Sennan Fielding). In race 3, he ended up with a large margin, 1 and a half second, on Brandon Maisano.
While Giovanni Altoè was absent, the second F&M race of Mahaveer Raghunathan also experienced a positive weekend. The Indian fought his way amidst the pack and scored 11th place in race 1, then improved to a great 6th place in race 1. In race 3, he ended up in 12th. None of the Malta Racing cars of Keith Camilleri and Zachary Dante were fielded at Monza.
