In the second round of the Italian F.4 championship at Imola, the F&M-Target Racing duo captured their maiden win in the series. Mattia Drudi cruised to victory in race 2 after having been one of the main stars in qualifying with a fourth and a third place. In race 1 he ended up in 8th before rebounding with an aggressive performance. Unfortunately, he stalled his car at the start, but in his comeback attempt he showcased his skills once again by cruising to set the fastest lap of the day. The other F&M drivers fought their way at the Italian racetrack: Indian Maheveer Raghunathan took 14th, 17th and 8th place while Italian Giovanni Altoè took 19th and 13th before retiring due to a contact.
Regarding Malta Racing the team's two drivers rebounded well after their tough Adria debut. Zackary Dante and Keith Camilleri were among the most surprising performers of round 2 as they returned behind the wheel of the cars fielded by Danilo Rossi with technical assistance from Target Racing. Camilleri entered the top-10 twice in qualifying with a double 9th place while Dante ended up in 18th and 13th. A consistent improvement from round 1, confirmed by the race 1 results. Camilleri rounded out the top-5, while Dante scored 7th. The other two races featured several variables that brought both drivers to stop. But there are plenty encouraging signs that laid great foundations for the rest of the season.
