After the test at Le Castellet, the World Series Renault 3.5 circus faced two more days of testing at the Catalunya Circuit in Montmelò, close to Barcelona. While the bad weather prevented the teams and drivers to express their true potential BVM Target got some great vibes from the session. Nikolay Martsenko did an incredible job as he logged a lot of laps and increased his knowledge of the car and team. The young Russian also made his way into the top-10 more than once.
Finally free from the mechanical issues that had plagued his runs in France, Giovanni Venturini paid the price of an high number of red flags in the second segment, the only one held with dry weather. He didn't have the chance to take full advantage of his new tires, although the team estimated his performance level as capable of being easily in the top-10.
As reported, only one segment in the four days spent at Cataluna was dry, but as the technical problems suffered at Le Castellet seem resolved, BVM Target is looking forward to the first race of 2012, scheduled for April the 18th and 19th at Alcaniz.
