Target secures two Am class victories with Costantini in GT Open final round

Target Racing completed the International GT Open season in a dominant way, as Stefano Costantini claimed last weekend a pole position and the AM victory in both races at the Montmeló circuit, in Barcelona. Despite a ten-second penalty due to the unespected absence of his team mate Christoph Lenz who unfortunately felt sick, the Italian driver set the quickest lap-time of his class in the Saturday’s qualifying to finish first in race one with the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 wearing the OPPO livery.

In race two Costantini pushed hard again, to overtake a 20-second penalty and make a sweeping pass with two laps to go the let him to run in first position he would maintain to the chequered flag. After taking a fourth place at the Monza hometrack last month, Alberto Di Folco experienced a not lucky weekend, as he and his team mate - newcomer Adrian Zaugg - didn’t finish race one and two. In Spain, team Target Racing ended a very positive year. Despite it didn’t complete any pre-seasonal testing and missed the opening round at Estoril, it clinched the third place in PRO-AM at Silverstone with the Costantini/Di Folco pair and then another third place in the AM class in Monza, with Costantini and Bernard Delhez. Last but not least it claimed the second place at its 24H Spa-Francorchamps debut with Costantini Di Folco, Delhez and Sylvain Debs crew.
