The 2022 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe came to its conclusion at Portimao after six rounds on the world's most prestigious tracks. The Algarve venue hosted the Italian manufacturer's closing event of the year with four races on the menu of a long weekend schedule. The two final races of the European series were followed by the Grand Finals Finals which saw the European Championship drivers line up against their American counterparts.

Marzio Moretti and Milan Teekens had a starring performance as they cruised to second place in the Pro class in race 1. With P6 in the second race, they then secured third place in the European Pro class standings. Dmitry Gvazava and Milan Petelet were quick to hit the podium in the Pro-Am class, while Raffaele Giannoni, who returned under the Automobile Tricolore banner, finished sixth twice in the Am class. Giannoni repeated the same result in the first race of the Grand Finals, before capping the weekend off with an eight place. With the points achieved, he secured fifth place in the Finals' points classification.

The two races involving the Pro and Pro-Am crews featured another stunning display by Moretti-Teekens, who fought their way to the podium twice. Only a track limits penalty prevented them from achieving P2 in the Finals aggregated charts and they ended up in third. Gvazava-Petelet impressed as well as they achieved a sixth and a fourth place in the two races. They eventually got a cumulative seventh place.
