Target Racing close to the podium at Spa-Francorchamps

Spa-Francorchamps put Target Racing and its Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo cars to the test as the Belgian weather, always unpredictable, played a major role in the fourth round of the season. The two qualifying sessions were conditioned by two red flags, which combined with the intense traffic of the 30-car field, did not allow Thursday's free practice leader Raul Guzman to complete a clean lap, relegating him to P14 in Q1. His team-mate Glenn Van Berlo set the third fastest lap time overall in Q2, while Andrea Cola and Dmitri Gvazava secured the fourth position in the Pro-Am class for both races. In race 1, Guzman and Van Berlo delivered a scintillating comeback from the seventh row of the grid. They ended up only 3 seconds away from victory in P4. The result was confirmed in race 2, where the pairing crossed the finish line in fourth overall, and third in the Pro class, with the fastest lap set by Van Berlo. Thanks to the double top-5, Guzman and Van Berlo climbed up to P4 in the championship standings, only 5 points away from the second position. Cola-Gvazava faced an unlucky weekend as they were penalized 30 seconds which were added to their race 1 time. In the second race, a crash at Raidillon put the Italian driver out of contention. He lost control of his car due to a sudden downpour that made driving conditions extremely treacherous.
