McLaren Trophy Europe, Target leads the way on its debut with a win, podiums, and pole position

Target Racing's adventure in the 2026 McLaren Trophy Europe got off to a flying start. At the Monza circuit, home of the season's first round of the continental series for the McLaren Artura Trophy Evos, the Lugo di Ravenna-based team achieved impressive results, taking a win and several podiums, establishing itself as a key contender in the championship.

Riccardo Ianniello and Gregor Jeets stood out. After a fiercely contested first race, the two drivers mounted a comeback that took them from sixth on the grid to third overall. Staying clear of contact and managing the race intelligently, Ianniello and Jeets built their result lap after lap, securing their first European podium of the season.

Sunday then turned into a true triumph. Thanks to Ianniello's pole position in the second qualifying session, the Target Racing crew took command of operations from the start of the second race. After managing the initial phase and the subsequent driver change, Jeets maintained the lead until the chequered flag.

The McLaren Artura Trophy Evo crewed by Kristian Brookes and Largim Ali also performed well. In race one, the two drivers, starting from third place, delivered a solid and error-free race, finishing just outside the overall podium in fourth place. In race two, they again showed strong pace, finishing eleventh overall and gathering valuable data ahead of the season's upcoming events.

In the AM category, Charlie Martin scored a class podium finish in both races this weekend. Called in at the last minute to replace Raffaele Giannoni, and despite her poor preparation for the Monza event, the British driver managed to secure two second-place finishes in her class, demonstrating excellent competitiveness.

Alessandro Fabi and Patrick Schober's McLaren also had a positive result. After finishing the first race in seventeenth place overall, the two drivers made significant progress in the second race, climbing to seventh place overall thanks to consistent performance and effective race management.

The McLaren Trophy Europe will return to action from June 25th to 27th at the historic Spa-Francorchamps circuit, the second of five races on the 2026 calendar.
